Grounds Committee
The association grounds committee works with the board to maximize the effectiveness and oversight of vendors performing lawn mowing, lawn chemical, irrigation, tree, shrub, and plant maintenance.

Cost Saving Projects
The Timberline Cottages board and grounds committee are always looking for new ways to save the association money, please submit any ideas to the board by contacting the association manager.
New Irrigation Controller
A new Irrigation system controller installed summer 2021. Following is a comparison of water usage and the associated cost reduction for mid-April – mid-July 2020 vs. mid-April – mid-July 2021:
Water Saved: 566,586 gallons, 44% reduction. Cost Savings: $3,846,
41% reduction.
Total cost of the new controller was $2,674 so this investment has already
paid for itself. This was paid for from our Reserve Funds.
Street Light Conversion to LED
In August 2021, the association board approved a project to convert our street lights to LED lighting. We first investigated this in 2019 and could not justify the expense. Since then, LEDs have become much more popular and as a result, the volumes have increased and the prices have decreased.
Total cost, $6,988. Payback: 2.2 years. This will be paid for from our Reserve Funds.
